About us

After covering financial technology for 12-years, our cofounder, Michael del Castillo, joined Columbia University as a Knight-Bagehot Fellow. He was founding editor of Forbes Digital Assets and created the Blockchain 50 list tracking institutional adoption of blockchain.

He was the first hire at CoinDesk after it was acquired by Digital Currency Group and co-founded the Association of Cryptocurrency Journalists and Researchers. In 2024 he made the jump to the banking beat as senior writer at Fortune before founding Media Luna Creations, LLC, a research and consulting firm working with financial and sustainable companies.

He has been a freelance writer at the New Yorker, with his work also being published in Blockchain in Financial Markets and Beyond by Risk Books and is cited by the World Trade Organization, Harvard Law School and the International Bar Association.
